Pondering The Benefits of Cannabis Dispensaries

The Dark Tale Behind The Intent Of Legalization

We will start this blog by stating that we are pro-legalization. Here, we’ll ponder the dark side effects linked to legalization when it falls into the claws of competition between large-scale cannabis growers.

The goal of competition is to terminate all competition. But at what price?

They compete for the market, and that means “against the welfare of their clients”, as it is too often the case when profits are a priority.

How so?

In a nutshell, the issue is relatively easy to grasp: profit and sustainability are antagonistic trends because profit always seeks shortcuts and, therefore, bypasses safety measures.

No market can exist if it does not create the need for a product. To ensure that clients come back more often, what happened next was foreseeable. The potency level was genetically modified so much that today, cannabis products are between thirty and ninety percent more potent than they were before the legalization!

The rest of, of course, is history as such business attitudes created a new level of addiction, which is spreading like wildfire. Do not take our words for granted, and please read the whole article to make up your mind:

USATODAY: Long ago, the THC content of weed was less than 1.5%. Today some marijuana products have more than 90%. It’s making people sick, and regulators have failed to keep up.

We firmly believe that this article exposes an(other) ugly truth about legalization. Not only is cannabis commercialization hailed by activists as the success of an emancipated society allowing its citizens to smoke as they please, but the same activists do not seem in a hurry to speak out, obviously.

We have tried to share this USAToday column with a few people around us, and most of them didn’t take it too well. Their first impression is that we joined the ranks of ultra-conservatives or that we oppose freedom of expression. One even blocked us on social media after messaging a “thanks!”.

Although we won’t discount the growing awareness of our greed-based system relentlessly harming society, many who identify with the system will defend it rather than accept that it is absolutely predatory.

There is so much funding invested in the THC industry that even regulators are left dumbfounded and won’t address this new toxic wave. Some claim that the FDA failed in its purpose to protect public health, which is laughable when considering that this institution has allowed the “forever chemicals” to be spread all around us.

There is a current understanding that PFAS class actions will dwarf the tobacco lawsuit. As a riminder, PFAS are a group of over 12,000 chemicals used in industry and consumer products around the world in everything from shampoo and carpeting to food wrappers and cookware.

Yes, sorry folks, there is no institution left to rely on. Let alone the EPA. But that is not just in America but around the world.

So now, back to our cannabis legalization conundrum.

Genetically engineered cannabis potency also means that we do not know what adverse health issues this situation will generate besides addiction. However, GMO toxicity has been established by many studies over the last twenty years. No projection is too wild.

The USAToday continues:

Today’s concentrates can be more than 90% THC. Some are billed as almost pure THC… higher doses of THC are more likely to produce anxiety, agitation, paranoia, and psychosis. An estimated 800,000 people made marijuana-related emergency department visits in 2021.

There is a reason why Nature made cannabis potency at less than two percent, because cannabis growing shouldn’t be monetized by corporations. Grow your own with organic — non-GMO — seeds. Personal responsibility is key. Simple.

The Scientific American (in 2024) states:

A historic 42 percent of adults in 2023 ages 19 to 30, and 29 percent of those ages 35 to 50, used cannabis during the prior year.

Rest assured, this trend is going to increase yearly. Legalization still has lovely days ahead as it fuels revenue for BigPharma and mental healthcare, which means more hiring for social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists. And that will seduce many students who are finishing high school and don’t know what to do with their lives.

The ball is rolling. Society has found another way to bankroll itself, making problems more profitable…

Aren’t you tired of living in a fake society, banking on artificial job creation to stay afloat?
