The Danger In Fake Positivity

Why People Tend To Avoid Information Threatening Their Happiness

We all want to remain cheerful as much as possible when attempting to foreshadow the future but since the mainstream media would rather keep crowds in the dark, we need to rely on other sources that have been sounding the alarm for quite a while already.

This list here, on your left-hand side, is a short but precious piece of information. Please notice the pollution caused by disposable diapers, then realize that there are millions of newborns every month who will need them for at least the two first years of their lives. Back in the old days, cotton towels were used and sanitized. One question comes to mind here: why has the industry not come up with fully biodegradable diapers — years ago?

Just look at this list again and then repeat the same question, replacing diapers with any other item. Fast Fashion, and its synthetic fabrics, would fit right in as it is the 2nd world polluter.

The planetary and massive pollution will go from bad to worst if we do not radically modify our consumption habits. Should society become more conscious and aware market-wise, we will have to muddle through a highly complex paradigm shift, which is going to impact our lives in an extremely profound way.

Capitalism requires a meritocracy organizing social competition by jurisdiction. Corporations, governments and monetarists have indeed a long history of banding together. We have more than 4,000 years of History documenting such facts. The change therefore will never come from those in power but from each consumer.

Flashback: Ancient Rome mainly collapsed because they were more slaves than citizens. Citizens were starving as most jobs were taken by slaves. Rebellions started in various areas of the empire, but mainly in and around cities. It does mean that conflicts and military interventionism do not resolve a thing, far to the contrary. And that corporations’ infatuation with slave labor is nothing new as you can tell. Social disparities are ever-increasing and set to lead us to an upheaval.

Then we could think of the French Revolution for example, which occurred because aristocrats had shifted an unsurmountable debt burden onto the population and the ensuing hyperinflation ravaged the economy. But it seems like the problem has never gone away — anywhere in the world. Nations still borrow as if there is no tomorrow, especially in the West. Yet we call ourselves the “rich world”.

There is a lot of hype surrounding Artificial Intelligence, but it also is getting time to realize the true nature of AI and the threats it poses. AI will remain focused on our brains and use human DNA as an organic computer. There is enough neuroscience literature elaborating on brain chips and interfaces, meaning that AI will end up controlling our every thought.

The Rise of DNA Data Storage, Wired 2018 | Scientists have long touted DNA’s potential as an ideal storage medium; it’s dense, easy to replicate, and stable over millennia

There is consensus that we must embrace the unknown, but if we ever embarked on such a path while ignoring the lessons of history and turning a blind eye to the critical state of the planet and political power, there are great chances that any of our projections will be falling short and eventually trap us even furthermore.

New brain technologies pose threats to privacy and autonomy that are all too real, experts warn •November 8, 2017. Yahoo News

Being positive has nothing to do with “ignore the negative and it will go away” but admitting that we are in the midst of a silent storm, sharing the data with friends and relatives, and initiating with them an objective discussion about the full-fledged social reorganization awaiting us all around the corner.
